
Everyone loves a post- practice treat! This sweet treat is a favorite combination of Chocolate and Hazelnut- with oats, dates and lots of flavor! It is easy, healthy and yummy. The recipe is adapted from the book, Energy Balls, by Christal Sczebel. The book is fabulous and I love many of the recipes. Enjoy!
- 1 C Pitted Dates
- 1 C raw Hazelnuts, chopped
- 1/2 C rolled oats
- 2 Tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1/2 C Chocolate Vegan Protein Powder
- 2 Tbsp Almond or nut butter
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4- 1/3 C almond milk
- 2 Tbsp mini Chocolate chips
- Process everything except for the almond milk and chocolate chips for about 1 min. I usually get the dates, hazelnuts and oats going first, then continue to add.
- Slowly pour the almond milk and continue to process the at a slow speed until a sticky mass forms.
- Add chocolate chips.
- Roll the mixture into small balls. You should have about 12 balls.
- Freeze for 30 min. Store in an airtight container in the frige.
