4 Week Advanced Vinyasa at Yoga on High

Backbends are challenging and energetic poses that are accessible! They are an integral part of a balanced yoga practice and great poses to counteract sitting. In this series, we will explore a rich collection of deeper backbends using the Vinyasa method in an approachable way. This will be a workshop style setting with a vinyasa class warm up to prepare the body. Each class will build on the previous one, and we will target different backbends each class- week one will focus on Full Wheel and variations of that pose, the second weak Camel and variations, the third week Dancer Pose and Pigeon, and finally Scorpion. The series will allow you to work slowly at your own level to develop the tools you need for a sustainable backbend practice. Be curious, courageous and come to the mat ready to play! A consistent yoga practice required.

Pose Practice- Side Plank and Asymmetrical Backbends

Refresh, inspire and elevate your yoga practice! This 2 part workshop is designed for you if you find yourself feeling eager to learn more and curious about exploring your physical and mental capabilities. We will try on a variety of pose variations, creative transitions and learn how to integrate the pieces you love into your every day practice. The Side Plank workshop will focus on core strength and hip mobility. The Backbend workshop will focus on opening the chest and shoulders.  Join us for one or both and re-ignite your practice!
