4 Week Advanced Series- Balancing the Hips!

In this series, we will focus on yoga poses, transitions and movement to balance the hips with flexibility and strength! It is important to both open tight areas of the hips and strengthen weaker areas to create and maintain balance in the hip joint. Opening the hips can create a sense of ease and freedom in our body. Strengthening the hips builds the balance we need to practice and move through life safely. We will practice some poses that increase mobility which increases your range in motion (think pigeon pose). And, we will practice some poses that increase strength which increases stability (think Warrior 3). Add those together, plus Chatturanga (and a few other poses! ), and we’ll be ready to practice challenging poses like Eka Pada Galavasana- Flying Pigeon Pose! Expect to practice a variety of poses, and some challenging transitions!
