A little bit about Anne

Anne is a unique and inspirational teacher, and believes yoga is a practice that is accessible to everyone. An experienced teacher, her classes are creative, challenging, and smartly sequenced. Anne believes yoga relates to everyday life, and weaves philosophical themes into her classes influenced by her Ashtanga practice as well as her curiosity of movement and shapes. Her teaching draws from her dance background, understanding of anatomy and alignment.

Anne Weidinger, E-RYT500, YACEP, BFA, began a consistent yoga practice over 15 years ago, after retiring from dance with many injuries. She found yoga to be a practice to maintain flexibility and strength in her body. Her yoga practice created space for self-inquiry and self-love on and off the mat. Anne believes yoga provides the transformational tools to live your life ON PURPOSE. Her role as a teacher is to empower her students to live their life to their fullest potential.

Anne’s students have described her as “dynamic,” “inspiring” and “knowledgeable.” Through her understanding of movement, breath and alignment, Anne teaches her students to develop their practice and self-awareness.

Anne teaches Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga Yoga. In addition to studio classes, Anne teaches workshops, small group and private lessons, leads retreats and is a teacher for teachers and aspiring teachers. She is a mentor for Yoga on High’s teacher training program.

Always a student, she has studied with many respected local and national teachers, and looks forward to refilling her cup each year. Out of the yoga studio, you can find Anne cooking in the kitchen, out in her garden, or relaxing with friends and family. Yoga has taught Anne to find balance and purpose in her life. As her teachers have guided her, Anne aims to be a guide to her students on their yoga journey.

Acknowledging, appreciating and loving yourself within the endless loop of thoughts and emotions is the task.
And that is the practice of yoga.
